This LLS mission is especially important to me because of my grandmother, Micky Rubenstein, whose grandkids called her Mimi. My Mimi was such an incredible lady.  She spent her entire life joyfully helping others in so many ways, large and small. Sadly, Mimi was diagnosed with Leukemia 5 years ago and after a courageous battle, she passed away this past July. Losing her was absolutely crushing for me and my family . . . she was our rock and always thought of others before considering herself. It’s difficult to make a huge difference in the world as a 15-year-old, which is why I am so fortunate to be able to take part in this fundraising campaign to honor Mimi by helping those with struggles like hers.
